Sonsierra Vignerons: Jose Gil and Vicky Fernández
Jose Gil and Vicky Fernández are two young winegrowers from the Rioja Alta region who have managed to place themselves on the radar of international critics in just a few years.
Jose comes from a family of winegrowers from San Vicente de la Sonsierra. After studying oenology, he joined the family winery in 2011 and at the same time bought an old cellar in the village. In the 2016 vintage he presented the first wines and started his project, Vignerons de la Sonsierra.
They currently cultivate 11 hectares of old vineyards, spread between San Vicente and Labastida.
