A Pita Cega 2017 is the flagship wine of Pilar Higuero. It is produced at Lagar de Sabariz, a splendid 16th-century manor house located in the province of Ourense, where Pilar lives surrounded by her vineyard and animals.
The wine is a blend of albariño and treixadura, with a touch of other local varieties cultivated biodynamically. It underwent an extended ageing on its lees in stainless steel tanks for over a year, followed by a very long rest in the bottle.
This white captivates with its magnificent texture on the palate and its multitude of nuances, with only 6,800 bottles produced.
