Bride Valley Vineyard Brut Reserve 2014

Bride Valley Vineyard Brut Reserve 2014

The catastrophic consequences of climate change sometimes open up new possibilities and bring exciting surprises to the world of wine. What seemed impossible decades ago - like making good wines in England - is now reality. In 2009, the prestigious wine writer and consultant Steven Spurrier, together with his wife Bella, decided to plant a vineyard on their Estate in Dorset. The couple currently own 10 hectares and are part of a small movement for quality sparkling wine in England. Bride Valley Brut Reserve 2014 is a coupage of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with more than 2 years of ageing. On the nose, stone fruits are combined with a touch of nuts. A small, fine, integrated bubble appears on the palate. A fantastic sparkling wine with memories of grapes and wild strawberries and a great evolution in the bottle. Bravo!
