Pingus 2019 comes from two small plots in La Horra –Barroso and San Cristóbal– that total 4.2 hectares planted in 1929 with a fine red wine that Peter Sisseck has been making since 1994. 25 years to get to make the most perfect Pingus to date. So says Peter. The nose is still shy, with the fruit very reserved and not very demonstrative. Little by little layers and layers of black fruits appear and red, reminiscent of currants, cherries, licorice, aromatic herbs such as fresh fennel, a hint of eucalyptus, black pepper and a light touch of meat. The barrel is not marked, it is hardly there. Tannins on the palate they expand in 3D throughout the oral cavity, melting with saliva and disappearing to the touch, but not their sensation. A great Pingus of great lay-down. Congratulations!

Pingus 2018 is Peter Sisseck's great wine. It is the result of two small plots –Barroso and San Cristóbal– in the municipality of La Horra, in Ribera del Duero. A total of 4.2 hectares planted with Tinto Fino in 1929. An outstanding bottle with a magical texture and magnificent ageing potential in a fantastic vintage.
