El Jardín de Lucía was born in 2009 from the collaboration between the Zárate winery and Vila Viniteca. It is one of Uvas Felices projects.
El Jardín de Lucía is made by Eulogio Pomares Zárate from a selection of Albariño from small plots of 20 winemakers belonging to "Val do Salnés", in the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin. The average age of the vineyards is 15 years and they are located in the municipalities of Cambados and Ribadumia, in a sub-zone characterized by its temperate and humid climate or by its shallow and sandy soils, which make it ideal for the cultivation of this variety. The harvest is done manually, in individual 16 kg boxes, after numerous maturation controls and making a selection of the best bunches. In its elaboration, the most advanced technology is used with the aim of making a wine in which the primary varietal aromas of Albariño stand out.
