Marie et Frederic Chauffray

Marie et Frédéric Chauffray is a couple of passionate winemakers who started their winery in 2005 growing vineyards in Terrasses du Larzac (Languedoc Roussillon). From the beginning, they applied organic and biodynamic practices, and maintained a philosophy of minimal intervention in the winery. For the first time, they present an unprecedented bottle: Octo Anni 2010, a late-harvested Grenache that was fermented for 1 year and aged another 7 months in unfilled barrels, which favored its oxidation. Powerful notes of nuts that reminds of an Amontillado on the nose. It is round with an exquisite sweet texture and a very long finisht on the palate. No added sulphites. A gem of very limited production that won’t leave anyone indifferent
