Curii is the personal project of Violeta Gutiérrez de la Vega and Alberto Redrado, started in 2010, focused on recovering old vineyards in the Marina Alta area (Alicante). From eight plots totaling five hectares, they produce a small quantity of artisanal wines based on local varieties: red Giró and white Trepadell.
Sr. Hyde 2021 is one of their single-vineyard red wines. The vines are about 70 years old, planted at 650 metres in the Sierra de Bernia.
A scarce production of 325 bottles, it offers a pleasant aroma of ripe fruit over a smoky background. On the palate it is fluid, with a silky texture and a subtly earthy, spicy finish with character.
