La Faraona 2021 is the flagship wine of Ricardo P. Palacios, created alongside his uncle, Álvaro Palacios, in El Bierzo.
It originates from an extraordinary vineyard of just over half a hectare, located in the El Ferro area, where the steep slate slopes reach an altitude of 860 meters.
Planted more than 70 years ago, it is currently recognized as a Grand Classified Vineyard. In this challenging and very limited vintage, the wine was made exclusively from Mencía grapes.
After a meticulous selection process, only two barrels were bottled, yielding 647 bottles—as well as some larger formats—of an exceptionally refined red wine.
