Georges Laval Garennes Extra Brut
Georges Laval was a pioneer of organic viticulture in Champagne in the early 1970s. His son Vincent has been managing this small family estate since 1996 and has become a key figure among the winemakers applying biodynamic principles.
They cultivate just 3 hectares, primarily in Cumières, a small village classified as Premier Cru in the Vallée de la Marne, located 4 km northwest of Épernay. Some of their vines are over 80 years old.
The Garennes Extra Brut cuvée is a blend of Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay. It includes reserve wines from the 2013 to 2021 vintages, aged in barrels for up to 10 years.
This artisanal production—12,000 bottles—is crafted by a cult winemaker.
