Gin Mare
Gin Mare is a Mediterranean gin crafted in the province of Barcelona, distinguished by its focus on native ingredients and a meticulous production process.
Its alcohol base is derived from barley, and the recipe features a distinctive selection of botanicals: arbequina olives, rosemary, thyme, basil, bitter Seville oranges, sweet Valencia oranges, lemons, coriander, juniper berries, and green cardamom.
Each botanical is macerated and distilled separately in a custom-designed Florentine Flask copper still. This results in six individual distillations that are then blended to achieve a complex and well-integrated aromatic profile.
There is no specified information regarding cold filtration or coloring, and the gin is bottled at 42.7% ABV.
On the nose, Gin Mare presents fresh and herbal notes, where juniper is balanced with nuances of olive, citrus, and Mediterranean herbs.
On the palate, it offers a smooth, dry entry with a silky texture and a development marked by the harmony between the balsamic character of the herbs and the subtle salinity of the olive.
The alcohol is perfectly integrated, finishing long, elegant, and refreshing.
It is recommended to serve neat, over ice, or as a base in classic cocktails such as the Martini or Gin & Tonic, where its structure and aromatic profile add depth and balance.
