In the 1980s, Klein Constantia winery revived the tradition of Vin de Constance, one of the most famous sweet wines in the world, originally produced in South Africa since the 17th century.
The small-berried Muscat de Frontignan grapes come from their historic estate south of Cape Town and are hand-harvested through multiple passes during a late harvest. The wine was aged for 3 years in barrels.
Vin de Constance 2016 is a magnificent naturally sweet wine, boasting fascinating complexity and legendary aging potential. It is perfect for after-dinner enjoyment and pairs excellently with nougats or fruit-based desserts.
