Mas Alta Cirerets 2017

Mas Alta Cirerets 2017

In 1999, one of the most exciting and outstanding winemaking projects was born in Priorat. Two Belgian families, the Lambrecht and the Vanhoutte, founded Bodegas Mas Alta in La Vilella Alta with the help of the French oenologist Michel Tardieu. Cirerets 2017 is made with two Priorat traditional grape varieties, Carignan and Grenache. These vines were planted more than 50 years ago in "costers" (steep hillsides) with a northeast and southwest exposure, on the typical black slate soils. It was aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels and another extra 6 months in concrete tanks. A delicious bottle to pair with big pieces of meat and seasonal mushrooms. We recommend decanting.
