Milsetentayseis de Alma Carraovejas Tinto 2021

Pedro Ruiz is the General Manager of Alma Carraovejas and Milsetentayseis, a winery established in 2018 in Fuentenebro (Burgos), one of the most distinctive areas of the Ribera del Duero. Its name refers to the highest point of the estate (1,076 meters). Currently, Javier Rivero serves as its Technical Director.

In this environment of extreme climate and mountain viticulture, the very old vines produce grapes of exceptional quality with a notably fresh profile. Milsetentayseis Tinto 2021 is a blend of Tinto Fino with a small proportion of Albillo, sourced from three vineyards. It was aged for 18 months in barrels and foudres, followed by 12 months of bottle aging before release.

This vibrant red wine features notes of black fruit and aromas of dried herbs, white pepper, and mushrooms, set against a vanilla background. On the palate, it is powerful and structured, with prominent tannins and a long finish.

Limited to a production of 46,050 bottles, it is also available in Magnum format.
