Description:

The New World is the name given to wine-producing countries outside the traditional regions of Europe and the Middle East: The United States, Canada, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, among others. Here, winemaking, as we know it today, began centuries later than in Europe, the so-called Old World.

In addition to benefiting from prior knowledge and notable climatic differences, thanks to more flexible legislation on the use of varieties, winemaking techniques and new technologies, the New World has been able to experiment and produce fantastic and unique wines. In Europe, the cultivation of vines is historical and traditions, terroir and the quality, age and care of the vines are very important.

In this tasting, we will contrast both worlds with the help of some wines from leading winemakers.

The following wines will be tasted:
Françoise Joffray Brut Blanc de Blancs (AOC Champagne)
Klein Constantia Méthode Cap Classique  Blanc de Blancs Brut 2019 (WO Constantia)
Ossian 2023 (VT Castilla y León)
Zuccardi Polígonos Verdejo 2024 (Mendoza, Argentina)
Shafer TD-9 2021 (AVA Napa Valley)
Château Gruaud Larose 2021 (AOC Bordeaux)
Domaine Chandon de Briailles Vin de Liqueur Pousse Au Crime (AOC Bourgogne)
Zuccardi Malamado Vintage 2020 (Mendoza, Argentina)
