Germany, Austria and Alsace are the inspirers of the magnificent selection for the month of July. Six winemakers with international prestige to explore some of the historical varieties of their areas that, due to the climatic and terroir differences, are a minority in the vineyards of Spain. Six white wines that follow organic and biodynamic viticulture, made with Riesling, Pinot blanc, Grüner Veltliner or Gewurztraminer. All of them perfect to pair with summer cooking.

Located on the banks of the Mosel River, Thanisch is a historic winery in the region founded in 1650 and now run by Sofia Thanisch, the 11th generation of the family. Her Riesling Trocken is already a classic that was born on slate floors and includes an Art Nouveau design from the year 1901 on the label. Thanks to the soils of the region, Weingut Heinrichshof Riesling also stands out for its elegance and mineral character. Peter and Ulrich Griebeler took over the family vineyards in 2014 and expanded them to the current 7 hectares.

The Grüner Veltiner is the variety that has made Austrian wines the most popular among amateurs and sommeliers, although the Riesling (with a minor cultivation) has also found its maximum expression in areas such as Kamptal. Gobelsburg and Bründlmayer are two of the region's leading wineries. From Gobelsburg, led by monks until 1995, we offer you its initial Grüner Veltliner wine, a delicious and very versatile white. From Bründlmayer, we include his Riesling Terrassen, a fresh and delicate white made by one of the region's star winemakers, Willi Bründlmayer.

In Alsace, Marcel Deiss comes from a family of winegrowers who has been rooted in the region for more than 300 years. His philosophy is to let the terroir express its maximum potential, using techniques such as co-plantation. We have chosen its fragrant and delicate Gewurztraminer, ideal with spicy dishes. Also from Alsace, the Marc Kreydenweiss winery applies a philosophy attached to the terroir and follows the precepts of biodynamic viticulture started by his father Marc in 1989.
