Absolut
Its production is based exclusively on winter wheat grown in the region, ensuring a consistent profile and full traceability from grain to bottle.
The process begins with the milling and mashing of whole wheat, followed by a controlled fermentation lasting 48 to 55 hours using a selected Swedish yeast, producing a sour wort with an alcohol content between 9% and 10%.
Subsequently, the distillate passes through a system of continuous stainless steel columns, with a second pass through copper-packed columns for rectification and removal of sulfur compounds.
The alcohol is rectified to reach 96%, and before bottling, a "spirit character" derived from selected grain is added to impart subtle nuances. Absolut does not use charcoal filtration or colorants and bottles at 40% ABV.
On the nose, it is neutral and clean, with light notes of fresh cereal and a discreet mineral hint. On the palate, it is smooth at entry, with a silky texture and medium body, balancing purity with a delicate grain presence.
The finish is short, clean, and smooth, with precise alcohol integration.
It is recommended to serve neat, very chilled, or as a base in classic cocktails such as the Martini, Bloody Mary, or Moscow Mule, where its neutral profile and texture allow for a balanced and precise mix.
