Bacardi (0,7 L)

Bacardi Limited, founded in 1862, is one of the most recognized rum houses worldwide, headquartered in Puerto Rico since the 1930s.

Its commitment to quality is reflected in the selection of local sugarcane and the use of a proprietary yeast strain, derived from the same raw material, which contributes to the rum’s distinctive aromatic identity.

The production begins with the fermentation of sugarcane molasses, followed by double distillation in copper and cast iron pot stills. The distillate is then filtered through charcoal before aging in white oak barrels.

The process includes cold filtration and the addition of E150a coloring to ensure clarity and the characteristic visual profile. Bottling is done at 37.5% alcohol by volume.

On the nose, Bacardi offers light notes of vanilla, almond, and citrus, with a subtly herbaceous background.

On the palate, it presents a smooth and light entry, with hints of caramel, mild spices, and a polished texture thanks to the filtration.

The finish is clean with medium persistence, making it a versatile rum both for sipping neat and for classic cocktails such as the Daiquiri, Mojito, or Cuba Libre, where its balanced profile and moderate alcohol content enhance the integration of ingredients.
