Bacardi (1 L)
Bacardi Limited, headquartered in Puerto Rico, is one of the most recognized names in rum production worldwide, with a history dating back to 1862.
The production of this white rum follows the house’s principles, combining innovation and tradition under the supervision of the BACARDÍ Rum Masters.
The base is sugarcane molasses, fermented for 20 to 30 hours using the proprietary yeast ‘La Levadura BACARDÍ,’ which contributes to its distinctive aromatic profile.
Distillation is carried out in two separate streams: the ‘aguardiente,’ which provides character and structure, and the lighter, more delicate ‘redistillate.’ The rum then ages between 1 and 2 years in American white oak barrels before being filtered through charcoal, a process that smooths the spirit without the use of colorants (E150a) and includes cold filtration.
Bottled at 40% alcohol by volume, it presents a clean and subtle nose with notes of almond, vanilla, and light citrus hints. On the palate, it offers a smooth and balanced entry, a light texture, and a dry, fresh finish.
Its precise alcohol integration makes it especially versatile, perfect for enjoying neat, on the rocks, or in classic cocktails: it is the traditional base for cocktails such as the Daiquiri, Mojito, and Cuba Libre, where its neutral and refined profile enhances the balance of the mixes.
