José Cuervo Tequila Especial Reposado (35%)
José Cuervo is one of the most renowned tequila houses in Jalisco and one of the oldest in Mexico, with a tradition dating back to the 18th century.
Its Especial Reposado Tequila is made exclusively from blue agave grown in the region, following traditional methods that include cooking the agave and subsequent fermentation using yeasts that transform the natural sugars.
Distillation is carried out in copper pot stills, typically through double distillation, to obtain a clean and aromatic spirit.
The tequila then rests for at least two months in toasted American white oak barrels, which impart golden hues and notes of vanilla, caramel, and wood, harmoniously balanced with the vegetal essence of the agave.
On the nose, sweet and woody aromas prevail, with hints of vanilla and caramel. On the palate, it offers a smooth and rounded entry, a light texture, and a flavor profile where agave intertwines with nuances of oak and sweet spices.
The finish is medium, with a subtle bitterness and pleasant persistence. It is recommended to serve neat, slightly chilled, or in a short glass with ice.
Due to its balance and moderate alcohol content, it is also an ideal base for classic cocktails such as the Margarita or Tequila Sunrise.
