Suntory Roku Gin Select Edition
Suntory, one of Japan’s most iconic distilleries, presents Roku Gin Select Edition, a limited edition originally created for the duty-free channel and designed to uniquely highlight the delicacy of cherry blossom.
This gin stands out for its focus on native Japanese ingredients, such as cherry blossoms and leaves, sencha green tea, gyokuro tea, sansho (Japanese pepper), and yuzu, complemented by eight traditional gin botanicals.
Different stills and distillation methods were employed, each specifically chosen according to the ingredient to extract its most distinctive nuances.
The result is a 43% ABV gin that has not undergone any wood aging, and whose limited production makes it a unique expression within Suntory’s portfolio.
On the nose, fresh and floral notes of cherry blossom predominate, accompanied by citrus nuances and a herbal background.
On the palate, it opens smoothly, with a balanced development between floral sweetness, yuzu acidity, and the spicy touch of sansho, all supported by a light texture well integrated with the alcohol.
The finish is clean, of medium length, with a delicately spicy and floral aftertaste. Recommended to be served neat, over ice, or in classic cocktails such as Gin & Tonic or Martini, where its aromatic profile can be fully expressed.
